Roaring Fork Valley - Year End Update

2023 proved to be another robust year of sales throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Our market continues to show its resilience amidst national and global uncertainty. By all indications, prices continue to rise, overall sales volume is up, and inventory remains limited. It is no surprise, that the desirability factor of living in the Roaring Fork Valley continues to grow.
It is worth noting, that there was a clear slowdown in the 4th quarter of 2023. Real sellers are being forced to become more negotiable on their pricing if they intend to reach the closing table. The days of 20-30% year-over-year price increases are behind us. Many buyers remain on the sidelines, waiting for interest rates to dip. I anticipate that 2024 will present an opportune moment for buyers to enter the market and secure properties with favorable values.
